This week, Closer Care’s Tuesday Creative Corner once again brought together participants, support workers, and friends for an afternoon of creativity, laughter, and connection. From the moment everyone settled in, there was a wonderful buzz of excitement in the room paints, brushes, and ideas ready to flow.
A Warm Space for Everyone
At Closer Care, we believe that creativity should be welcoming, fun, and accessible to all. Tuesday Creative Corner is not about perfecting techniques or following strict rules it’s about creating a safe space where people can simply express themselves, try something new, and share the joy of making art.
This week’s session focused on painting, and the atmosphere was nothing short of inspiring. Some participants decided to capture the stunning Sydney Skyline, layering silhouettes against bright backdrops, while others brought delicate floral artworks to life with colour and imagination. There was no right or wrong, just expression, encouragement, and plenty of laughter along the way.
Creativity, Confidence & Connection
For some, this was their first time picking up a brush in years, while others have always enjoyed art as a way to relax. What made the event so special was how everyone encouraged one another, offering kind words and celebrating each other’s unique creations.
One participant told us, “I didn’t think I’d be able to paint something so beautiful. I feel proud of what I’ve made.” Another said, “The best part was sitting together, chatting, and having fun. It feels like being with family.”
